Individuals and families are invited to enjoy a day of skiing, riding and racing at both Middlebury College Snow Bowl and Rikert Nordic Center to benefit HOPE on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.

What is Ski and Ride?
Organized by the HOPE Board of Trustees, the 3rd annual Ski & Ride event raises money for the many programs provided by HOPE. The event consists of 3 competitions: a ski/snowboard team race at the Middlebury College Snow Bowl, an alpine skiathon at the Snow Bowl and a nordic skiathon at Rikert. Plus a new fun course for children at the Snow Bowl. Participants who choose not to race are invited to enjoy a fun day of skiing or riding too! After skiing, participants are invited to an afternoon celebration the Snow Bowl including food and awards.

Why Participate?

HOPE has been Addison County’s anti-poverty agency since 1965. HOPE poverty relief services include the emergency food shelf, shelter with rent and mortgage payments, assistance with utilities, health needs and a variety of other services including Retro Works and the Gleaning program.

How to Participate

Prior to the event, individuals are asked to raise money to support the many programs HOPE offers using either a pledge form or directing potential donors to the HOPE website where safe and secure donations can be made.

Registration

Check-in will take place at both the Rikert Nordic Center and the Middlebury College Snow Bowl from 9-12. Please bring your pledge forms including the registration fee ($20/individual & $40/family and will be waived with pledges totaling $75 or more) and collected monies to registration between 9 and 12 or mail ahead of time to HOPE co/Kathy Mackey PO Box 725 Middlebury, VT 05753 or via hope-vt.org. Money mailed to Kathy must be received prior to February 21.

Eliza, MiniBury Founder

Hello, I’m Eliza. I founded MiniBury in 2012 because I had a hunch that I wasn't the only parent in Addison County missing fun family friendly events. I love the challenge of finding and sharing information about our community to other parents.
